1. Agreement

Motif is an independent software product offered under the Motif name. In these Terms, “Motif”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the product and its operator. Questions and notices may be sent to support@getmotif.page.

By completing a Motif purchase, installing the application, signing in, or using Motif, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Consumer Information available before purchase. Mandatory rights and responsibilities that cannot be excluded remain in force.

2. Eligibility and account

  • You must be 18 years old or older and have legal capacity to enter the agreement.
  • The licence is for one named natural person. Team, shared, entity, employer-seat, rental, resale, and timesharing use are not permitted.
  • Professional and commercial creative use is permitted, including earning money from work made with Motif.
  • You must control the Google account and email used for Motif access.

3. Purchase, seller, and account email

Motif subscriptions are sold through Stripe Managed Payments. The seller and merchant of record for your purchase is Link, LLC, a Stripe company, which resells the Motif subscription to you. At checkout you accept the Link Terms for purchases sold through Link and acknowledge the Link Privacy Policy.

Link processes the payment, issues receipts and invoices, calculates and collects applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax, and handles payment disputes and chargebacks. The charge appears on your card or bank statement as LINK.COM* MOTIF. Motif provides the licence, the application, updates, and product support.

  • Link Terms (Sold through Link)
  • Link Privacy Policy

Checkout is opened from the Motif website through Stripe Payment Links. You must enter the Google email you will use in the application in the field labelled “Gmail for Motif Account”. The payment receipt address does not replace that field.

Access begins only after the payment is confirmed. If you enter the wrong Google email, contact support@getmotif.page. Motif may manually correct or relink access after verifying the payment and relevant accounts.

4. Personal licence and computers

While your access remains active, Motif grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable licence to install and use the application on up to three computers that you personally use.

You may release an authorised computer before registering a replacement. The three-computer allowance does not permit another person to use your account or licence.

5. Subscription, renewal, and cancellation

Motif offers one complete subscription with monthly billing at USD 4.99 and annual billing at USD 35.88. There is no free trial unless the checkout explicitly states otherwise. Prices are final prices that include applicable tax, which Link calculates and collects. Checkout shows the final amount and currency before payment; your bank or card issuer may apply its own currency-conversion fees.

The subscription renews automatically for the same billing period until cancelled. You can open Stripe Customer Portal from the Motif application to cancel. Cancellation stops future renewal and access continues through the period already paid for.

If payment fails, Link may retry it and Motif access may be paused or ended until payment is restored.

6. Refunds and mandatory remedies

Motif does not offer a voluntary refund for change of mind, non-use, failure to cancel, or termination caused by fraud, sharing, circumvention, or serious breach. Verified duplicate or incorrect charges, failure to provide paid access, material non-conformity, wrongful termination by Motif, and mandatory legal remedies will be handled as required.

As the seller, Link may also refund a payment at its discretion within 60 days, for example to resolve a billing problem. Payment disputes and chargebacks are handled by Link under the Link Terms.

Requests must include enough information to verify the account and payment, such as the Link receipt or order number, and should be sent to support@getmotif.page.

7. Your content and instructions

You keep ownership of your music, artwork, descriptions, project files, contacts, and other content. Motif does not claim ownership merely because the application organises, previews, downloads, sends, or publishes content at your request.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for each file, image, message, recipient, channel, upload, and publication. Check recipients, attachments, metadata, visibility, and files before confirming an external action.

8. Connected services

Optional features may connect to Google Sign-In, Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, Discord, Telegram, and BeatStars. Their own terms and policies apply to their services. Motif is not affiliated with or endorsed by those providers.

By using Motif’s YouTube features, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

  • YouTube Terms of Service

Provider availability, permissions, limits, enforcement, and account decisions remain outside Motif’s control. Motif is responsible for its own part of the service.

9. Acceptable use

  • Do not share licences, defeat access or security controls, exploit errors, redistribute Motif as your own product, or extract protected connection information.
  • Do not distribute malware, harass people, send unlawful spam, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, access accounts or channels without permission, evade provider limits, or conduct illegal activity.
  • Do not submit knowingly false, fraudulent, or abusive support, refund, chargeback, privacy, or infringement claims.

10. Updates and availability

Motif may be updated to improve features, compatibility, security, licence verification, and connected services. Supported updates may be required, and older versions may stop working when they are unsafe or incompatible.

Temporary defects, maintenance, provider outages, and interruptions may occur. Motif maintains and improves safeguards and reliability but does not promise uninterrupted availability.

11. Suspension and termination

Motif may limit, suspend, review, or end access for non-payment, fraud, account or licence sharing, unlawful activity, security risk, attacks, circumvention, exploitation of an error, or serious breach of these Terms. A credible issue may be investigated before a final decision.

Ending access does not delete music or project files stored in folders you control.

12. Backups and responsibility

Keep independent backups of important work. Verify exports, recipients, files, and publishing choices before relying on them.

Motif is not responsible for indirect losses, lost opportunities, or failures caused by a user-controlled device, file, account, instruction, or independent connected service. This does not exclude responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Intellectual property

Motif, its application, design, documentation, branding, and original software remain protected by intellectual-property law. No ownership is transferred to you. Feedback may be used to improve Motif without payment or obligation.

14. Changes and governing law

These Terms may change when Motif, its subscription, connected services, or legal obligations materially change. Material adverse changes will be communicated before they apply where required.

Polish law governs these Terms. Mandatory consumer law and jurisdiction remain unaffected. Questions, complaints, and notices may be sent to support@getmotif.page.
